Accident and injury
You can visit any of our clinics to see a doctor, free of charge, for any accident or injury related vist, such as:

a car accident -
a work accident
-
a bite or scratch from an insect
-
a bite or scratch from an animal
-
a bite or scratch from another person
-
cooking burns
-
most other injuries caused by an external force including gravity, eg a fall at home.
Your doctor visit is also free if:
-
your condition comes on gradually because of your work (gradual process)
-
it is a result of medical treatment
-
sexual assault
-
abuse.
We offer a wide range of services to manage most minor accidents which often involve a consultation with a doctor, followed by an x-ray if necessary.
Any accident or injury that occurs in New Zealand is covered by ACC, which means healthcare services are provided free of charge or at a reduced cost.
If you are unsure whether your injury is covered by ACC, please ask the receptionist, nurse or doctor.
